Medium ruby in color with a garnet rim; on the nose, it's clean with pronounced primary, and tertiary aromas of dried figs, cedar, and sour cherry; on the palate, it's dry with high acidity, high tannins, medium alcohol, full body, and pronounced primary and secondary flavors of strawberry sauce, red currants, and wet gravel with a long finish. This wine is past its prime. The fruit was completely gone after about 20 minutes. I bet it was a great wine a few years ago. — 17 days ago

Had the 2016 on Derby Day 2025. Dark, rich fruits. Some chocolate with a hint of leather. Vanilla and caramel from the barrel. Very interesting wine. The artwork on the front label is absolutely fascinating. Had to do the back of the bottle to get it in this app. — 9 months ago

I have always been a fan of the wines from this domain. Now at age 15/16 this wine stands firm! Everything comes together with a nose of red fruit, licorice, leathersoap. The mouthfeeling is silky, cherries you know these big black ones, subtle acidity making you want to drink more but no need as the finish takes you over the minute. Fantastic wine! — 9 months ago
