2013 vintage. Full body. Better with time in the glass. Balanced dark fruits. Hint of mint on finish. — 2 days ago
1st vintage from the Kronos vineyard. What a treat!
Decant for sediment(lots of sediment). A splendid medium ruby red color with bricking. On the nose: dried red fruit, smoked meat, worn leather, coffee grounds, dried herbs, truffles. Taste: silky, and so fresh for its age with sour cherry, loamy soil, black tea, graphite, herbs, and a nice pepper-earth medium plus finish. YUM!!!! Sure on the downside, but still perfectly drinkable. — a month ago

My review may not be beneficial to all because of my drinking style. I drink the bottle myself over the course of a week. With this Freakshow Cab Sauv, my review changed from the first to last glass. The first glass was strong, thin, and barely enjoyable. With subsequent glasses tasted a developing sweetness and thickness. I realize this is counter intuitive to wines normally being best when being allowed to breathe a bit after opening. Just wasn’t the case for me with this one. Rating was a 6.5 to start and a 9.5 at the end I’m grading with a curve to give it an overall 9. Will buy again based on Freakshow reputation and hope for a better early result. — 2 days ago
So drinkable but has some depth and keeps you interested. Lemon peel, cantaloupe. Winner — 25 days ago
Drinking the 2018 in 2026. Dark thick long lasting legs. Nose has dark fruit and cherry notes, slightly sweet. Light flavor for a cab. Very smooth with a fruity finish. Nice wine. — 2 months ago
As others reviewers have said, this wine is consistently outstanding. It pours a deep purple. Wonderful flavors of berries and dried fruit. Balanced tannins and an exquisite finish. As with the other wine for my birthday, it may have overpowered my seafood pasta at Mangia Bene restaurant a little bit. But it was worth it because it was so fantastic. Great to celebrate and share this wine with our good friends, the Bailey’s and the Swanson‘s. #stagsleapdistrict #californiawines #napawine #napavalleyforever #redblendwine — 13 days ago
On the nose I get black currant, cedar, leather, anise. Elegant and lighter than you might expect from California Cab. A long, lingering finish with toothy tannins and noticeable oak. I’m drinking it on its own but it would be fantastic with meat or cheese. — 20 days ago
Sipping Fine Wine
Deep Ruby color, aromas of black and red fruits with some herb and earthy notes. On the palate flavors of ripe blackberry, currants and licorice with cacao, espresso, cedar and earthy herbs. Long finish, well balanced, rich tannins ending with fruit, cedar and earthy character. — 4 days ago
