My Loup anniversary dinner. Much better than the Grenache ;) — 16 days ago
Do not pass up an opportunity to buy this wine. Expensive Nerello but worth every cent. Tart red fruit with smoke and scorched earth. Complex but very easy drinking. — 23 days ago
Popped and poured; enjoyed over the course of a few hours. The 2006 Juliet pours a deep garnet/purple with an opaque core; medium+ viscosity with moderate staining of the tears. On the nose, the wine is vinous with notes of ripe and desiccated dark fruits: cassis, blackberries, plums, tobacco, leather, mixed dead flowers, old wood, organic earth and fine warm spices. On the palate, the wine is dry with medium tannin (integrated) and medium acid. Confirming the notes from the nose. The finish is medium+ with an attractive, plush texture. This is in a really good spot and fully mature. Drink now through 2031. — 22 days ago
bit shy, needed some time in the decanter - translucent ruby colored, lots of violets and spice, sour cherry and bing cherry, rhubarb, tar, sweet soil, really complex on nose, med weight w/firm tannic grip, flavors from nose on mid palate, nice finish. paired with smoked ribs and it really worked - Father's day treat. i have another of these, believe this is in the pocket right now. *more Barbaresco than Brunello — a month ago
91+, a baby and needs 1 hour to open up. More fruit and density than usual, but just a smodge more than normal, pretty consistent! — a month ago
2022 Etna Rosso santo spirito: light dark soil, very loose and sandy. lighter cherry and fruitier nose, on the palate, cherry, heavy minerals. Strong tannins. Very popular wine. Very deep vines. — 18 days ago

Light and tart at the outset. First notes are full of juice with pomegranate, green apple, and apricots. This lingers on into the finish with just a touch of smoke. Easy to enjoy. — 3 days ago
