Big grapey nose. Lovely berry fruit and big minerals. As air opens the aromas become really really intriguing and expansive. Lovely core of minerals and soil tones. Really nice. In a great spot aromatically. Really really in your face gutsy minerals. Palate is soft and lush with very nice sweet fruit. Big but ripe and suave tannins. Concentrated and structured, this has real lift and energy. Complex and seeks like it will age a decade more. Terrific wine.
After air mega improvement. 9.3 to 9.4. A freak show. Mega concentrated and long. Super. Mineral. Like Mauves st. Jo. Nose is incensey/herbal/berry consommé, superbly mineral. Balanced, pure and very fresh. Just amazingly pure and explosive. — 5 days ago
Everybody is raving about Nerello from the etna so had to try! Wine is a lot lighter on its feet than expected, fresh with a good acidity. On opening sour cherry, cranberry and a rosemary note. Not directly a huge fan. After a while more earthy and minerality comes into play and make it a lot more interesting. And even the barrel is somewhat noticeable. So after a hesistant start this wine makes me want to explore more! — 5 days ago

Medium gold; medium intensity aromas of yellow peaches, yellow plum, yellow apple, ripe apricot, apple skin, subtle nuttiness; dry, high acid, medium alcohol, medium body, medium plus intensity flavors consistent with aromas; medium plus finish, flavors brighter and fresher than aromas, complex and moderately concentrated, very good — a day ago
