Smooth and silky. Absolutely perfect nigori. — 3 years ago
Bought this in person on honeymoon in NZ. Very unique profile. As others have stated, almost translucent. Has earthy, mineraly, but delicious profile. One of the better pinots I’ve ever had. — 5 years ago
Oh this is a California plus plus. Like the ripeness and go get them TIGER-ness of this says California. BUT with a touch of dahhhhhling I do not give an f this is what I want...which is to say this is new world vibrancy with old world attitude. Acid high, fruit ripe (melon apple tropical) and so on. Also just...stellar I need to taste more Lieu Dit — 6 years ago
Santa Barbera Chardonnay is really becoming a favourite of mine. The Pinot from SB seems to get all the attention here in Sweden but the Chardonnay is outperforming the Pinot by a mile. Very bright and well balanced. Seashell, pear, honey, hezelnuts, jasmin, tiger balm. — 2 years ago
There’s something slightly off with this. Not cork, maybe Brett? A certain tiger to the nose and Adour hard not toward the end of the mid palate. Far from enough to make this unsinkable but I suspect not a fully correct bottle. That aside very dark, brooding fruit. Some sour cherry and iron, bitter dark chocolate. Maybe the wine’s like that... hard to tell — 4 years ago
This did not age well for me. A 2016 opened in 2019. Insanely sour. Definitely ginger but it became a little much on both fronts for me. I’d be interested to try again at the brewery if when they have vintage pours. — 5 years ago

Amazing what a decant can do sometimes. Typically my favorite Roulot Lieux-dit that often easily performs at 1er cru level, 2013 Tessons begins a bit flabby and exotic tonight, showing more of the vintage than I’d like. But with aeration it gains focus and energy and really comes together beautifully taming its ripeness with layered minerality and just enough acidity driving all of its flavors home. Great turnaround. — a year ago
