Stalky and dusty black cherry. Apparently about 55% to 60% whole bunches in the ferment. It seems like more than that. Also fresh red florals and cranberry. Recently fellow Delectable taster, Aravind, had a tasting at Giant Steps, which I had recommended and his favourite Cuvée was Wombat Creek - the highest vineyard in the Yarra Valley. It certainly is very impressive and quite different to the other Giant Steps Cuvées. (97 points from James Suckling). Went well with Roast Duck. The next night still very stalky with a peppery note. — 6 months ago
Don't judge me for liking this. It's Delightful white blossoms and white nectarine nose. Superbly drinkable on its own, this is a great go-to for an outdoor patio spring summer social, it's a crowd pleaser that's several steps above and much more interesting than your Pinot Grigio's — 8 months ago
Brief notes - this is the standard Chardonnay - the individual Cuvées are more expensive. This was most impressive for the standard, reflecting the excellent vintage in most parts of Australia including the Yarra Valley. Citrus more than stone fruit. Easy to drink. — 6 months ago
Brief notes. Bright red fruits - ripe rich strawberry and cherry flavours. A little whole bunch influence and a touch of spice. More fruit driven than Lusatia Park normally is. The block has been sold to de Bortoli and no longer in the Giant Steps portfolio. This wine - 97 points from James Halliday. — 10 months ago

See 4 previous notes on Delectable for the 2015 Primavera. This is my last bottle. The whole bunch stalky elements have toned down in the last few years. More balanced with the red fruits. Perhaps that was Steve Flamsteed’s plan and it needed to be cellared for at least 9 years.? — 3 months ago
