How does anyone not hoard (regular) Sazerac at ~$25?!
Incredibly smooth, great sweet note to the finish. Again, why haven't I not been buying this for years...?
(BTW Kirkland Bourbon at $30 is worth the price of admission, earthy oak note on the palate is quite similar to Buffalo Trace.)
Counter-Clockwise from top left:
Buffalo Trace (single-barrel selection), Jefferson's Reserve Very Old/Very Small Batch, Knob Creek (9yo), Kirkland Bourbon (7yo), St George single-malt (SM 015), Hillrock (Ancram NY, solera aged, Barrel No. 174), Berkshire Mountain Distillers Shay's Rebellion and Wild Turkey Master's Keep (Batch 0001, 17yo). — 5 years ago

Surprisingly Eagle Rare 10 is highly allocated this year if you’ve had in the past. One bottle only on K&LInteresting Christmas digestivo. Made with English peated Whisky. Creamy and smoky. — 9 years ago
Big cold so not best tasting time. Nuits St. George's and inclusion les saint georges for me produces wines that are powerful but lack a bit of finesse. They are trying everyday to classify this as a grand cru and they shouldn't. Power yes, elegance no. — 9 years ago

Brought this gin back from Aberystwyth, the town on the Welsh coast where Prince Charles studied the language before becoming the Prince of Wales. This one is spicy and piney. Reminds me of a Welsh version of St. George's Terroir Gin. Enjoying it over a bit of ice. — 6 years ago
This mutant Pinot noir from CLOS Jacquinot, finally just enough to fill one barrel and qualify for Nuits Saint George's appellation . Noble mineral broad and creamy , so much structure and finesse, still young . Glorious finesse and intensity , yum! — 10 years ago
Jameson Gold purchased 17 years ago. This is s different whiskey than what they sell now. Fantastic, a classic. — 11 years ago

A multiple tasting of global brown spirits, but dinner of enchiladas with locally sourced ingredients was perfectly paired to the ultimate of Green Chile vodka from none other than St. George's (Alameda, CA).
Happy 2022>2023 Delectable Family.
I was lucky enough to land one of the current COVID variants during my Holiday break, yet 'luck' is one word for the situation. Fortunately symptoms were mild but my palate is twisted, so hopefully 2023 brings a reset. — 4 years ago

Bartlett Pear eau de vie. (Lot PB-08)
This will be my initial experience with this bottle after passing it in my local shop numerous times and pondering the eventual purchase.
Ok... Just like everything else made under the roof at St. George's, this is crazy juice, nose is intense peeled pear skin and the palate has the truest expression of pear I've ever known. All this is distinctly Bartlett Pear, no question. Wow, perfect close to the evening. — 8 years ago

Sniffed out this last ounce of the second lot of St. George's single malt at Gotham. Sweet find, very floral. — 11 years ago
More pronounced nose compared to the nuits St. George's. Earthy. More length on the palate. Great acidity. Fleshier. Balanced. — 11 years ago
Norman
Loch Lomond 20yr (Royal St George)
Light nose. First sip came in hot with a quick finish. With a few minutes of air it opened up a lot, smoother and noticeably longer. Wood and spice lead more than caramel for me. Finish is long and a bit drying, hits the tip of the tongue then sits in the cheeks. No real fruit showing on my palate. I’d prefer a bit more fruit or caramel to balance the structure. — 5 months ago
