Belle Glos

Clark & Telephone Vineyard Pinot Noir 2019

Deep purple in color with a purplish rim.

Sweet nose of black plums, cooked cherries, oak, vanilla, licorice, cloves, herbs, spices, dark chocolates and black pepper.

Full bodied, soft and smooth, with medium acidity and long legs.

Dry and extremely fruity on the palate with blackberries, black currants, plums, cooked strawberries, spices, oak, vanilla, licorice, tobacco, chocolates, light earth and peppercorn.

Long finish with fine grained tannins and tangy raspberries.

This is a very nice easy drinking red wine from Santa Barbara County. Fruit forward with mild complexity and a nice, smooth mouthfeel.

Good by itself or with food. Good right out of the bottle and better after an hour of airtime.

Pinot Noir for the Cabernet lover. Rich and extracted. Spicy and opulent. Alcohol is already nicely integrated.

I've had this wine many times before, but never so young. Surprisingly good at this age and Will be better in 5 years.

I paired it with a charcuterie board of meats and cheeses.

14.9% alcohol by volume.

90 points.

$50.

Lone Oak Vineyard Pinot Noir 2018

Anyone who rates this LUCIENNE Chardonnay less than 93 is crazy. Smooth, crisp, flowery, complicated and fruit forward above all. — 14 hours ago

Tasty, almost Sauternes like. Has the positive qualities of Sauternes on the nose. Blown out and most likely due to heatwave damage as well as style on the palate. Still delicious enough. For $12 at Costco, it’s great. — 11 days ago

Mer Soleil

Reserve Santa Lucia Highlands Pinot Noir 2017

Mer Soleil named after the two forces of nature – “the sea and sun.” Grapes sourced from vineyards in the southern and middle areas of Santa Lucia Highlands, deep Ruby with youthful aromas of red fruits and smoky pepper spice. On the palate flavors of cranberry, raspberry and cherry with toasty baking spice, savory, good mouthfeel. Medium+ finish, fine tannins well integrated ending with fruit and a toasty spice character. — 6 days ago

Beau Marchais

Soberanes Vineyard Pinot Noir

Decanted for 2 hours. A very BIG Pinot. The more time in the glass the more it tasted like a Grenache. Very different than any Pinots I have had from Adam Lee. A very well made wine but a little more full throttle than I prefer. — 4 days ago

Stolpman Vineyards

Estate Grown Ballard Canyon Syrah 2017

Have had Stolman in restaurants before ( David Chang?) so went with this Northern Rhone style Syrah- me thinks the frigid temps outside despite heat lamps accented the fruit/Nerviness but nonetheless at least I enjoyed it. Think less gamey but some of that gorgeous high toned N Rhone fruit. Really delicious. Outside meal with family, in Chelsea NYC — 15 days ago
