Nose of pine nuts and resin with a hint of pipe tobacco. Almost smells like an Anchor Christmas ale after it has aged 3 years. The entry was quite a bit more sweet than I expected. Tobacco and dates with a plum and spice. Finishes slightly stiff but not a bad thing here as I think I prefer these on this side of the hill before they get more raucous. 20+ years ahead. — 5 years ago
Raspberry/chocolate truffle nose. Dark, full bodied, tannic, sophisticated, with persisting chocolate and spice reminiscent of nutmeg. Long, dry, ripe fruit finish. Delicious. — a year ago
Enjoyed this wine. Really intense flavour. Nit fully balanced but still enjoyable. Would buy again. — 4 years ago
Atop heady iodine, wet mossy and pine bio, green apple sliced thin, melon, lemon and lime peel, smoky glazed ham with pineapple, igneous grind, dried sunflower blossom, jasmine, fall maple leaves, roasted corn with sweet chillies, cinnamon, and the faintest matchstick sail memory scents. Instantly warm and welcoming ginger candy, caramel, leather, graphite, cinnamon oil, hazelnut, pine sap, mint, calvados, cherry stem, eucalyptus, tangerine oil, lime, and jalapeño. Intense and lingering, filling the mouth beyond its capacity to taste. Really lovely Talisker manifestation conjuring metal and stone textures like some dark tale of briny ghosts! #Talisker #scotch #scotchwhisky #scotchwhiskey #whiskey #whisky #TaliskerStorm #singlemalt #Isleofskye #Scotland #madebythesea #classicmaltsselection #Islay — 5 years ago
A point of reference. Ethereal. So well balanced. Nose displays almonds, hay and mild citrus notes. Palate is silky smooth with roasted nuts, meyer lemon and a hint of nectarine. Not too much acidity to talk about. This will sail on for years and years.
A superb gift from Joe and Dianna. — 2 years ago

Strong showing. Layered, textured and nuanced. This will sail on for years to come. Maraschino cherries combine with maple syrup and espresso notes to complete what is an excellent presentation. — 5 years ago

Flinty and crisp on the nose nose and palate. A nice and typically French personality with lemon rind and copious amounts of salinity. Nice weight and texture with more brine than sweetness. Drinking well right now, but will sail on for another 7-10 years, with ease. — 11 days ago
