I was more prepared for this today (by comparison to my last btl, where I was expecting a slightly richer version of the Quartz). Very rich nose: lime mousse, vanilla, stone, but still so charming. On the palate, fantastic acidity, lime, almond, hazelnut mousse, wet stone, but still very hi-toned. Such a lovely hi-toned finish...wish I had disg info. — 5 days ago
Lovely classic Rhone. Graphite, saddle, and ripe blackberries on the nose. OMG this is good. Rich and full...flavor explosion in the mouth. Silky smooth with loads of fruit. Well balanced and strong, but yet a vanishing quality to it. And yikes, 15.3 alcohol content, but it doesn't seem like it. This is the best Rhone we've had in a while, and better than the 16 Bieler. — 4 days ago
A bit funky on the nose. With air this opens up. Looks and tastes of its age. Kind of an iron note. Served blind. Guests guessed Pommard. I can’t say I disagreed with their guess even though it was incorrect. Seemed more like Pommard than Volnay to me. — 25 days ago
This N/V Blanc is truly one of our favorites. On its own a 94 but, with an intermittent splash of white burgundy and caramel, Granny Smith apple, near perfect!
I’ve always wanted to this paring and last night it became reality. 🤩 😳 🍏 — 11 days ago
Well balanced, structured could probably actually use a few more years — 4 days ago
