Gran Leirinia Ribeiro White Blend 2018

100% Treixadura grown in granite soils, fermented in stainless. Medium lemon color with aromas of ripe stone fruits and blossom notes. On the palate, crisp, with flavors of peach and apricot, some honeysuckle and citrus. Medium finish ending with crisp mineral character. Nice value! — 15 days ago

Neno Sobre Lias Valdeorras Godello 2016

Gotta seek out more godello. This had beautifully round orchard and pit fruit and decent body from lees aging, but also superb freshness and sea salt-inflected mineral character — 4 days ago

Cume do Avia

Dos Canotos Sousón

So I didn’t think I had this Spanish variety called Souson found it was the variety used in Portugal Souzao used in Port. Light color (little like Pinot Noir) earthy, cherry, berry , mineral driven - reminds me of Poulsard — a month ago

Light, but complex enough to be interesting. Perfect for a warm day when you want a red but it’s too hot. — a month ago

Viña Nora

Rías Baixas Albariño 2018

Facing a natural terrace above the river Miño, located in the town of As Neves, within the wine region of Condado do Tea, bordering Portugal. Last I tasted was ‘15, now the 2018. Pale yellow with pronounced fruit and floral aromas. On the palate white flesh fruit flavors, citrus and herb notes with lively acidity and nice balance of minerality. Crisp on the finish ending with lemon zest notes. Nice! — 2 days ago

Albariño Serea 2019

Final bottle from my natural wine haul courtesy of @Brendan Devine. Right up there with the best of the bunch. On the lighter side for Albariño; acid on the high side, stone fruits and minerality. Nice with a fresh can of anchovies for sure, even better if they’re in a Caesar salad. — 6 days ago
