Red Hills Lake County, North Coast

Shannon Ridge Vineyard

Reserve Red Hills Ranch Chardonnay 2014

Family-owned and operated and founded in 200, the winery's vineyards hug the mountain rims along the south-east edge of High Valley AVA. Rich fruit aromas with nutty spice notes. On the palate ripe apple and pear flavors with honey notes and some citrus tones. Nice mouthfeel, medium finish giving way to big buttery vanilla oak ending. — 21 days ago

Lake County Sauvignon Blanc 2016

Summer is here and kids are out of school. Clear straw color. Aromas of underripe strawberry, white flowers and pineapple. Great citrus flavors with an amazing white strawberry finish. — 23 days ago

Red Hills Lake County Zinfandel 2014

This is the Zinfandel of forty years ago when I first came to the States; not the rubbish of most Zins today. It's a Zin for hearty BBQ fare. Perfect match with spicy Baby Back Ribs. A little chill is highly recommended. — 4 days ago

Touriga Nacional Rosé 2017

9.1

Nice rose for #nationalroseday Herbal, blood orange, melon, strawberry. Not as open as the 16 was at this point, but that's not a criticism. — 15 days ago

The Sum Red Blend

Just saw this and the 2014 caught my eye- very smooth and light for a red but a good red flavor. Going back for more! — 22 days ago

Reserve Napa & Sonoma County Cabernet Sauvignon 2005

My review went away. :(. This was such a awesome wine. It opened beautifully. Even the initial smell reminded me of bond. Nose was floral. Taste was superb. It’s balanced and complex. Definitely reminded me of bond. — 9 days ago

Crimson Hill Vineyard Grenache 2012

Brighter, tangy than you expect from grenache. Very soft floral and cherry bark on the nose. Very little hint of the 14.5% abv. Chewy but delicate stem flavors, and more dark berry than cherry flavors. Much less daylight between this and, say, a VML pinot than this vs a typical, highly structured, hot, jammy grenache. Incredibly smooth after 6 years. Could've had another 6 maybe to cellar. Bravo. — 11 days ago

Sol Rouge

Rosé Grenache Blend

The 2012 is showing very well right now. The wine has “aged gracefully”. Deep rose color - flavors are strawberry 🍓 just before their peak ripeness wrapped in gauze. Hint of black olive on the end. 👏 bravo! 6/18/2018 — 6 days ago
