Bright yellow gold. Nose of baked quince and light butterscotch. Echoed on the full-bodied palate with a good backbone of medium plus acidity wrapped up inside. A rare bird in California Chardonnays in that it gives body, fruit, oak, and food-friendly freshness without overloading in any of them. I’m not always a fan of Wagner family works, but this under-the-radar Chardonnay is actually a good representation of the style. Good enough at regular price, but a steal when it’s on sale. Drink now through 2021. — 2 days ago
Medium ish to fuller bodied Pinot Noir. It was very dense and jammy black fruits on the nose at first but after around 30 minutes, it eased up all the unknown nuances and opened up a lot more earthy and floral notes. Light acidity and tannin with a bit tart and spicy finish. I feel like this Pinot can hold up a few more years and still be enjoyable. — 12 days ago
Big day of wine! Grand Reserve tasting at Total followed by steak night.
First wine included in the Total Wine Tasting. The Calling has apricot & orange peel on the nose with a bright acidity and pear and apple on the palate. Really nice crisp Chardonnay without much Malo. Great for summer. — 3 days ago
Lemon in color with a light golden tint.
Fruity nose with lemons, citrus, light oak, vanilla, spices, yellow pears, red apples, sea salt and spices.
Medium bodied with medium plus acidity and long legs.
Dry on the palate with limes, grapefruits, citrus, green apples, bitter herbs, spices, earth, green vegetables, light wood and black pepper.
Medium finish with limes and bitter almonds.
This Single Vineyard, Napa Valley, Sauvignon Blanc is crisp and refreshing with nice balance. Showing mild complexity with a nice mouthfeel.
A good wine to have by itself or with food. Good for the pool too.
Needs 20 minutes to open up properly and better when properly chilled.
I had it by the pool with light appetizers.
13.4% alcohol by volume.

Wine bears vineyard named to honor the Red-shouldered Hawks & other birds of prey that play a vital role in sustainable farming practices. Golden with aromas of tropical fruits and sweet floral scents. Aged for 14 months, 75% in new French oak and 25% in stainless. A rich Chard, the palate shows sweet melon, pineapple and peach flavors and citrus notes, subtle yet complex and well balanced. Lingering finish, savory, ending with mineral tones and creamy toasty oak. Outstanding! — 24 days ago
A family favorite. This is Mexican Cab at its finest! Strawberry, cherry, vanilla and spice on the nose. On the palate it has the tipical Mexican salinity. Surprisingly easy to drink and perfect pairing for steaks with fat and game. Just great for sharing. An absolute must! — 11 days ago
Dark cherries, flowers, black tea, and some tobacco. A bit brooding for a Pinot noir, but it has some nice acidity. — 2 days ago
