This is a fantastically fun wine. Drink this in the summer on a breezy evening. Swish each sip and stand outside without your shoes. I felt like the very first drink after opening the bottle, and my glass 5 days later were the best. — 3 months ago
Highly recommend, such a smooth and pleasant wine. This wine is from Italy’s Alto Adige Valley. — 6 months ago
Pisano “Río de los Pájaros” Reserve 2024
Progreso, Uruguay 🇺🇾
Overview
An impressive white out of 100% Torrontés grapes from the Pisano family estate, representing Uruguay’s Atlantic expression of this aromatic varietal. Subtle yet elegant, this wine redefines Torrontés with finesse rather than flamboyance.
Aromas & Flavors
Enticing florals, white jasmine, honeysuckle, and orange blossom, lifted by stone fruit and citrus zest. Notes of lychee and pear gently unfold as it opens in the glass.
Mouthfeel
Medium-bodied with refreshing acidity and a rounded mid-palate. The texture is supple yet vibrant, giving a polished feel to a grape often known for exuberance. The finish is clean, layered, and persistent.
Food Pairings
Superb with ceviche, grilled shrimp, or Southeast Asian dishes with a touch of spice. Also delightful with goat cheese salads or simply enjoyed solo.
Verdict
A sophisticated take on Torrontés, aromatic yet balanced, expressive yet composed. A must-try example of Uruguay’s potential in white wines.Cheers!

Beautifully dry and minerally. Everything good in a Pinot Grigio — 5 years ago

One of our favorite Spanish reds. — 22 days ago
Deep Ruby with aromas of ripe fresh berry fruits, spice and herb notes, has a splash of Merlot added to the Malbec. On the palate flavors of cherry and blackberry with notes of oak and black pepper notes. Fine soft tannins, great balance with acidity, long finish ending with juicy fruits and mineral notes. Good value! — 3 months ago
Judged this wine by its cool label. It’s a good one, smooth and easy. — 6 months ago
This charming wine is keeping me company while I bake tonight. User reviews are all over the place, but in my humble opinion, this 2022 is very good. A light bodied Neb, with bright juicy fruit, bitter but pleasant floral, and a tasteful kiss of oak which lends some depth. Good holiday wine.

My last bottle from the defunct yet memorable winery.
Smells so delicious, like a fruit yogurt
This drinks like it is fresh, with blackberry bramble, subtle and unique red fruits tucked behind the leather ones.
Tannins are still very gripping, and the acidity tames it back. A touch of heat and its off to the races! — 3 years ago
Although this isn’t a Barolo, I did drink it there. Close enough as it is from Asti, which was about 20 mins down the road. I mean come on. This was great. Dark fruits like black cherries and reminded me of plums with its taste and its tannins. Had some spice and oak that balanced with the fruit nicely. High acidity but still has a lot of body and depth. Tannins were soft but present. Felt like a polished and serious wine that was excellent alongside our “piedmontese” meal. — 2 months ago
Characteristic wine from Valle de Guadalupe, Baja California, Mexico. Expressive dark fruits, spicy, earthy and a jammy edge. Pairs perfectly with the corn, beans and mole in Mexican dishes. No wonder why they call Mexican wines the next Tequila! Want to learn more about wines from Valle de Guadalupe? Hot damn. Delicious. Jeff like you would expect with a CA cab, but a counterpoint in the raspberry/strawberry blossom flavors… a totally lovely and balanced red, aged to perfection — 7 months ago
A little funky. Very juicy. Love it with a spicy meal — 8 months ago
Luna Vineyards Napa Valley Merlot 1997: Medium-bodied. Smooth tannins. Well integrated acidity. Dark cherry. Raspberry. Prune. Plum. Menthol. Earth. Gentle oak. Soft lingering finish. Overall, a fantastic 25 year old wine. Beautifully developed over time and still displayed great fruit flavors & aromas. Aged to perfection and paired perfectly with the baseball cut Filet Mignon. Great weekend to all! Cheers🍷 — 4 years ago
High acid, peach, lemon, grapefruit, and some spice notes, as it warmed up. Really fantastic. — 6 years ago

11 percent abv; a little lean but good aromatic intensity. Under ripe raspberry, cranberry, various crunchy red fruits. Med plus acid and a decent finish for a light bodied red. Could use 5-7 years to gain more earthy complexity. — 25 days ago
