Via Revolucionaria Ancellota La Criolla Grande Mendoza Red Blend 2022

Bought it for the label and actually really enjoyed it. Like bojo with a feral unwashed children aroma. — 5 months ago

Via del Campo Irpinia Falanghina 2020

Ming L
9.3

My first Falanghina and I absolutely adore this bottle.

Aromatic nose of peach, pineapple, start fruits, fresh herbs, and orange blossom. Elegant medium body with lovely round acidity and smooth texture. The palate is clean, fresh with mineral undertone yet has the feel of richness. Very impressive.

Via del Campo is planted entirely with Falanghina. Fermentation in 70/30 stainless steel/new French oak barrel.

Via del Campo Falanghina 2021

At dinner the other night, we ordered this in place of the Kenzo Sauvignon Blanc and it did not disappoint. Lovely tropical fruit notes. It was a great substitute for our favorite wine. — 8 months ago

Remarkable syrah with tons of cocoa and cherries. Also some typical (italian?) acidity.
Good effort.

Falletto di Serralunga d'Alba Riserva Barolo Nebbiolo 1989

Taken to Via Carota in the West Village. Decanted for 8 hours in the hotel room. Deep tawny color. Opaque. Amazing nose that screams old Nebbiolo. Notes of sweet red and black cherries, red rose petals, anise, old wooden desk, black soil and a hint of tar. Super rich in the mouth. Coats the palate. One of the best Barolos I’ve ever had. At peak yet still youthful. This can easily go for another 20 years. Bravo. — a year ago
