The 2015 Declaration has a gorgeous nose featuring blackberry, cherry, lavender, graphite, vanilla and sweet oak spices. The palate is a delightful playground of dark berries and that Napa dirt, which doesn’t seem all that dirty, really. It drinks fruity and young, but has firm tannins and plenty of aging potential for the coming years.

2017 vintage. The Côtes de Bordeaux is a fantastic playground for value seekers and this Castillon is no exception. To be honest I feel sorry for owner Patricia Aroldi that she has to sell a biodynamical wine of this quality at such a low price (4,95 euro consumer price, I kid you not!). A blend of 86% merlot and 14% cabernet franc. Bright red fruit and flowers in the nose. Good fruit concentration and ripe tannin structure with vibrant acidity and more than decent length. Very easy to drink now, but this should age well for a few years. Highly recommended. Abv. 13%. Vignobles Gabriel & co. — 4 years ago
Inky black and delicious! More luscious than Rutherglen durif the tannin much softer. Lovely Friday night drinking. — 3 years ago
La Monacesca Verdicchio di Matelica DOC 2017: Weekend playground therapy! Bright. Intense. Fun. So many layers of flavors: Citrus. Almond. Honey. White flowers. Minerals. Nice balanced acidity with a creamy textured finish. Always a great “go to” favorite! Cheers🍷 — 4 years ago
