Luc makes beautiful Pinot Noirs. This showed beauty and elegance with some excellent deep tones. I would wait five more yrs before opening. — 23 days ago

Liquid Gold!!!! A Pinot Gris that has gone through Noble rot. Gold with an Amber tint. Aromas of peach, apricot, and honey. Very tasty with a great sweet note. Great with our Charcuterie board!!! — 4 years ago

St. Joseph Les Pierres Sèches

Last bottle, best bottle. Big bang for the buck, punches way above it’s weight, etc. Cherry, sun dried tomato, hot rock, lavender and such. Excellent. — 3 months ago

Gauthier Cuvee Aubert Saint-Joseph Marsanne Roussanne 2018

Young, but great upside potential. Old vine Marsanne from the lieu-dit Aubert, east of the Sainte Epine vineyard. One of the original St Joseph appellation parcels, tended by Trollat for decades according to the spec sheet. Delightful. — 5 years ago

My bottle was tight as well. But this was NUTS out of barrel. I have faith it will blossom.

Nobles Vineyards Pinot Noir 2013

9.4

This is the last of three horizontal single-vineyard bottlings from the 2013 vintage, and undoubtedly the finest of the trio— the other two sourced from Anderson Valley.

Still remarkably fresh, it offers an alluring mix of red and black fruits, layered with subtle floral notes. The palate shows impressive depth and precision, carried by fine acidity and a silky, seamless texture. Expressive and elegant, it should have at least another 5 years of drinking window.

Nobles Rives Crozes-Hermitage Syrah

A nice, smooth French Syrah from the Hermitage appellation. Heavy yet smooth with that luscious mature red fruit - tobacco ending with a hint of chocolate that presents as a “fruity” old world French red. Pair with a meal or cheese…Great glass! — 5 years ago
