222/5/4 with sushi. L02B02. Lemon, honey, brioche, chalk - everything is here, with a bit more depth and richness than I remember it having 5-10 years ago. For me, this is THE classicist, brut blanc de blancs standard cuvée. It’s so great to have a wine like this reasonably available and reasonably priced. — 16 days ago
OMG what a nose . Heaven. Floral and ripe and so pretty. Like pretty when you see a woman so gorgeous that you just can’t muster up any words. Striking. Unreal lemon and lime. Meyer lemon. But omg the florality. Beautiful discreet oak. Framed so perfectly. Like a filmmaker framing a shot. This nose is 9.9. It’s that easy and that good. Wow. That is concentrated and so deep. Candied and elegant with a superb core of sweet fruit and sweet wood. Impeccable balance. Superb intense and scintillating minerality. More mineral than 18. About as mineral as 19. As this airs the harmony of the nose becomes greater and greater. Wow this is dense and intense. For a wine that is this structured it is graceful a f. — 10 days ago
2020 here we go. What a nose. A terrific follow up to the stunning 19. Dark black cherries, huge sous bois, what breadth and depth. Just insane. Gorgeous clarity of cherry fruit that you cannot possibly think this comes from grapes it is so clear. Riper than 19. Such depth. Deep ocean as I like to say. Palate is ripe and juicy and so so elegant. Energetic and rich but also fresh as a daisy. Wow that concentration is wonderful with all the tiny black cherry fruit intensity and a treacly texture that has tremendous sweetness and building tannins. Wow this is long and dazzlingly pure. Now the flowers pick up on the nose and this is just utterly transcendent. It’s opening and opening. This since 19 has become a top 2-3 red at Brisset. Stunning inner mouth aromas and intense but tactile minerality. Wow so sweet and so intense and grippier than the 19 at this point but wow that icing on cake, treacly texture is really the star here along with the deep black cherry fruit that is allied with freshness and length. This needs to open big time but a stunner.
Now after 2 hours the nose just stanks of minerality. How can a wine be this sweaty and classy at the time? — 21 days ago
This is a Chambolle-gasm! Wow. My nose is thanking me. So floral. So so so floral. Wow. This nose is perfect. Gotta get that out of the way. 10.0. Geez. What a gift this nose is. Roses. This might have the most intense florals I’ve ever smelled. There is luscious mid season cherry fruit and also some black cherries. Unreal limestone background. It doesn’t get better. It does not. There is no way. The freshest, purest fruit ever. What a palate. Amazing creamy texture. So juicy and complex. Tangy and young but so silky and long. Sweet fruit but not that sweet. Wow this is balanced. Just a genius bottle of wine. Finish is a bit clipped but it will come around. — 10 days ago
Vibrant, juicy, so fresh, alive!
Green apples, green grass, a hint of green apricot, some lemongrass. Highly enticing. Not flint like Sancerre, no exotic canned fruit like NZ. Fresh, green, grassy.
On the palate this has a round, slightly creamy mouthfeel but remains focused, light, appley juicy, vibrant. A slightly herby, salty bitter edge adds an interesting edge and a bit of nice complexity.
Closer to a Chenin Blanc (think Guiberteau) than a typical SB.
Slightly cloudy, incredibly drinkable.
This is a delightful discovery! — 7 days ago

DAY1
Served with the Vinloq System
👃Minerality leads the way. Pear, orange, lemon & white pepper spice
👅Dense and bone dry. Matchstick/minerality is attention grabber: Meursault-like 👍
Overperforms bourgogne classification.
Remainder stored in fridge with Vinloq preservation
DAY3
Great as soon as it hits the glass. Best when cool to keep it focused and crisp
DAY10
Pithy grapefruit & ginger. Good acid. Toasty. Big flavor & complexity overdeliver for the 💵
If the Boisson Bourgogne Blanc is this good, how good are their wines with bigger expectations? I intend to find out! 🥂
