What a nose. Chestnut, tar, roses, leather, huge spice. Shows ripeness of vintage but so classic and old school. Rich and ripe with nice caressing tannins and so so juicy. Lovely spice and minerals and beautiful freshness. Long finish. Really really impressive. @Delectable Wine this is Il Chiosso winery and the Cru is Terre Moreniche. — 6 days ago

Deep, damson mid season cherry, licorice, anise, rustic nose, juicy, complex, huge furry tannins. Well made, decent length, balanced and pretty, elegant. Needs air.
On day 2 this is transformed. Ripe and rich with wonderful stylishness and pure deep fruit. Terrific wine. — 6 days ago
Lovely nose. Tweed jacket, licorice, earthy, ripe and juicy. Terrific acidity, deeper than sass russ, ripe and really wonderful tannins. Long. Very pure. Very long. Excellent. Really powerful and wonderful structure and super velvety tannins pump out the deep licorice/black/red cherry pure fruit. — 6 days ago
80% Nebbiolo, 15% Barbera, 5% Merlot blend, with grapes slightly dried on the vines.
Due to this style, it shows loads of baked lush fruit, all-spice, dried herbs, and purple flowers. Chalky, but developed tannins, medium plus acidity, and a very brick red color... I really enjoyed drinking this wine, but I honestly can't tell if it is on its last legs or if the grapes being dried on the vine make it seem in its plateau. I'd have to try a bottle again in a few years of the same vintage.
Great pairing for burgers. — 4 days ago
Color of clear burgundy, with hue of bloody grapefruit. Nose of dried strawberries, some cedar wood, cherry jam, black tea, and tobacco leaves. Taste is juicy, with tannins solid but polished, sweetened black tea, cherry and strawberry, tobacco leaves, anise, spice, and some mineral. Aftertaste of some more mineral, zest, and a touch of white pepper. In her peak. — 9 days ago
You wouldn’t know Barbaresco is one of my favourite wines as I hardly review them weirdly 😁 so seeing this 21 year old baby @ £83 recently I thought I gotta get me a piece of that 😉 It’s a few years past it’s peak now but still a decent drop although not worth its current 💵

Today I was able to enjoy the 2014 Gaja DaGromis Barolo. 100% Nebbiolo.
On the nose i was a le to get cherry, raspberry, strawberry, roses, spice, dried herbs and dusty earth
On the palate there was abundant red berry fruit, cherry, raspberry, pomegranate, anise, mint, white pepper, clay pot and dusty soil.
The wine is medium to full bodied with a soft mouth feel, medium + acidity and medium + fine tannins that lead to a medium to long fruit filled finish. A well structured and integrated wine that was a pleasure to drink. The weekend is upon us and I wish everyone an enjoyable and safe 3 days. Nostrovia! 🍷🍷🍷🍷 — 12 hours ago
Wow. More notes later.
Mushroom, tar, roses, cherry fruit, mineral and so so aromatic. Really gets in the deep nostril areas. Juicy and so so complex with wonderful purity and big tannins. Finish is a hint of licorice and a swarm of cherries. This needs 3-5 years but seems to really be a another winner at this estate. — 6 days ago
