Passorosso Etna Rosso Nerello Mascalese 2019

I regretted parting with even a little bit of this bottle for cooking purposes. Shows off the vibrant and graceful side of Mt Etna. — 9 months ago

Contrada S Terre Siciliane Nerello Mascalese 2013

Perfect after 9 years in bottle. Burgundian dark cherry notes, muted tannins, smooth with no mustiness. I personally still prefer a touch of added cappuccio like my fave Terre Nere. — 3 years ago

Contrada Rampante Sicilia Nerello Mascalese 2018

!00% Nerello Mascalese, Single Contrada from a favorite Sicilian Producer. This isn’t the typical lighter, easy drinking Nerello. This has body, weight and complexity. Darker fruit: black cherry, blackberry, raspberry, smoke, with tannins and acidity. Definitely capable of aging but I have a hard time time not drinking them! — 6 months ago

These wines are all amazing. The S was a little lighter then some of the other Contradas. — 2 years ago

Vigneti Vecchio

'Crasa Contrada' Etna Rosso Nerello Mascalese 2017

From Le Volpe e l’uva, this is not as good an expression of nerella mascalese as what comes out of a place like Passopisciaro, but you can’t beat it for the price. Italy in a glass… — 3 years ago
