Welcome to the weekend! Looks to be a wonderful weekend and lets try to enjoy it. This afternoon I have opened for a close friend of mine the 2017 Duckhorn Vineyards Three Palm Vineyard Merlot. The blend is 91% Merlot, 5% Cabernet Sauvignon, 2% Malbec, 1% Cabernet Franc and 1% Petit Verdot.
On the nose there is black cherry, plum, raspberry, bay leaf, herbs, spice, violet and cedar.
The palate is beautiful complex fruit of black cherry, strawberry, plum, fig, chocolate, clove, vanilla, graphite and stoney slate.
This wine is full bodiedwith a velvety mouthfeel, medium + acidity and medium + to high medium grained tannins with a long dark fruit tannic finish. What a beautiful wine this is and what a way to start the weekend off. Have a great weekend and please be safe and stay healthy. Nostrovia! 🍷🍷🍷🍷 — 4 years ago
Very sweet. Crisp. What you'd want in a moscato — 4 years ago
1984, surprisingly tanic, acidic, and Heavy dried fruit, prunes and dried figs. over oxidized tasting at first but interesting. From producer to cellar at breakers in palm beach. Small leak out the bottle on one side of the cork. Over time it settles and the dried fruit subsides and then the lighter acidic flavors of fresh berries comes forward. — 2 years ago
Had with brad on his last trip in palm beach at renatos in may of 2021 unreal bottle — 4 years ago
Cab sauv at Kenlee’s house with jens and Palm. Ate with Lagnaa. Spicy bold mid tannins mid acidity on the dry side; plum/prune/oak/chocolate — 4 years ago
Palm frond, light olive essence, smoky-sweet petrol resonance over poppyseed pastry, rhubarb-wild strawberry cream, lemon custard, and palmyra. Lemon lime zippy while racing across the tongue, with grapefruit zest, lime zest and raspberry sizzle. Gorgeous and lean. Drinking this yet again, price has gone up, yet still so worth it!
My favorite champagne yet, in all the years drinking it. This is the benchmark for grower champagne. 100% Pinot Munier.
Alpine strawberry scone, warm and yeast nose,
Tangy deliciousness , pillows of creamy blueberry, sour cherry compote, and Buddha palm acidity. Wow, I am in Love...

2016 vintage. Red plum, hoisin, shiitake on soft wood, cinnamon and cedar, coffee rye, palm bark, lilac. Expansive sour cherry, cranberry, pipe tobacco, leather, apple skin, allspice, nutmeg and clove. Really a perfect Côtes du Rhône from a great vintage, shining, deific at eight years.
