We had the 2013 Vintage on 6/28-29/25. Nice bouquet black fruit and cedar. The palate had blackberry, plum, tobacco, leather and spice. Medium bodied, terroir driven. Old World and very good — 7 days ago
Ahhh when Caymus was Caymus! Chocolate, leather, prune, lengthy tannins and a nice bit of acid still hanging on! — 21 days ago
The 2017 shows some nice bottle aging development compared to the 2021, trading some of the exuberant flash for greater nuance. Still plush and fruit-driven, but the oak influence has mellowed, allowing notes of dried herbs, graphite, and earth to come through. Just enough acidity to hold things together, while softened tannins lend a smooth finish.

Last had a couple years ago. These obviously have a long life ahead of them. With some nice air, this does open up. Wonderful dark fruit and earth aromas. Tannins are quite present and a bit bitter (not in a bad way at all). Excellent acid on the finish. Delicious pairing with kinderhook pork chops with tutto porchetta seasoning. — an hour ago
