Began in 1944, Mario Incisa acquired Cab Sauv & Franc vine cuttings, planted them on San Guido estate, called Castiglioncello, Sassicaia, "the place of many stones". A blend of 85% Cab Sauv, 15% Cab Franc. Lovely ripe fruit & spice aromas. Bold berry fruit flavors with spice, oak, leather & cacao, a powerhouse. Soft tannins allows current enjoyment. Long silky smooth fresh finish ending with fruit, oak and spice. Great now, will age, but drink now, outstanding. Little pricey at $300. Tasting Sample. — a year ago
Nose - oak, clay pot, perfume (in a good way) and flowers. Flavors - plum and pomegranates, nectarines. Feel - soft up front with a little acidic bite at the end. Really lovely all around. Just my kind of Nebbiolo. — 2 months ago

2017 vintage. Interesting pedigree. Medium body. Great intensity throughout with surprisingly affordable pricing. Horrible label. Not exactly deficient in the Napa cab wars inventory-wise currently but this was verry compelling in a challenging vintage. 01.22.25. — 2 months ago
