Clos de Malte Santenay Chardonnay 2012

Quite similar to the 2013, at this stage.

Nose of tropical fruits, banana skin, light dried sage. Palate has yummy fermented papaya, peach, faded tangerine notes and lightly creamy oak.

Cristal Brut Champagne Chardonnay Pinot Noir Blend 2008

Great depth to the fruit with sizzling acidity. Amazing material- built for aging but dazzling even now. Great fun now but super young — 9 days ago

Domaine Louis Moreau

Vaillons Chablis 1er Cru Chardonnay 2016

I’m drinking this young, but local wine guy said it would be fine. Almost white in color with a very subtle gold tone. Big citrus, grassy nose and virtually no oak. If having blind and solely based on the nose I would have guessed Sauv Blanc not Chablis. Pineapple and subtle coconut on the palate. Shortish finish with a decent amount of tartness. Not bad, but not wowing by any means. Definitely give it some time. — 11 days ago

Blason Louis

Blason XIV Grand Cru Champagne Blend

Color : White
Wine estate : Blason Louis
Designation : Champagne
Name : Blason XIV
Country : France
Vivino : 4/5
Note : With its exclusive export to the United States, it is not easy to find on European soil. A pale yellow robe, fine bubbles and a toasty nose and citrus. On the palate, an aromatic freshness with an average length. A final on apricot and brioche with floral notes. Excellent

Excellent

La Comme Santenay 1er Cru Pinot Noir 2015

A bit young and needed air but it was a real treat. It was @Marine Cerbelle's wedding wine which we celebrated on Saturday. Superb wedding and superb wine to pair with it. Currant, sour cherry, strawberry, rose petal, earth, hay on the nose. Very delicate and continuously evolving while getting air. A layer cake of scents. The palate is a perfect balance between the acid backbone, a wonderful currant / cherry fruity dimension, a nice grip and lively tannins that kick the end of palate off to a very long and dinstinguished, noble finish with rose petal, tea and cherry notes. It was served along with a perfectly cooked veal chop and old vegetables. What a treat! Thank you @Marine Cerbelle and Benjamin! — 4 days ago

Domaine Jean-Louis Chave

Offerus Saint-Joseph Syrah 2015

First introduction to the power of J.L. Chave. Dried blueberries and cherries fill the nose followed by a rush of pepper and freshly dried herbs, particularly thyme and rosemary. Dried cranberries and red currants lead the charge on the palate with smoked meat and the earthiness that I love from Rhône style wines right behind. Terrific mouthfeel with the right amount of tannins and acidity, and a long fruit forward finish. Chave’s Hermitage is a top dream wine for me, and this just adds fuel to the fire. — 10 days ago

I had an ‘11 Chave Hermitage a month or two ago and it was very impressive, even if obviously a baby.
