Jeunes Vignes de Xinomavro 2021

Read about this bottle on Noble Rot and it is indeed great despite its reasonable price.

Think of a more delicate, drier, and a bit raspberry-floral Nebbiolo.

Domaine Comte Georges de Vogüé

Cuvée Vieilles Vignes Musigny Grand Cru Pinot Noir 1999

Slow over for two hours then 30 minutes in the fridge then one hour in the decanter and served for dinner. Got more elegant as time passed. Classic Musigny — a month ago

Granit 60 Vieilles Vignes Cornas Syrah 2020

Great stuff. Mixes mineral pedigree of iron and blood with a lifted, red, fresh profile. Both contemplative and drinkable — a month ago

Cuvée Vieilles Vignes Moulin-à-Vent Gamay 2023

Pastille & pennies. It takes a true bad ass to make just one single wine vintage after vintage. Respect. — a month ago

Second bottle of the opening game of the season. Really helped with the Washington loss. Great tasting Syrah. Very drinkable #httr #losingrecord — 19 days ago

Domaine Ponsot

Cuvée Vieilles Vignes Clos de la Roche Grand Cru Pinot Noir 2002

Beautiful intense fruit. Plum and a saline blue fruit thing. Savory and restrained. Good balance. Excellent — 17 days ago

Vieilles Vignes Corcelette Morgon Gamay 2014

Popped and poured; enjoyed over the course of a few hours and alongside Foillard’s “Corcelette” from 2022. The 2014 “Corcelette” from Daniel Boulard pours a deep garnet color with a near opaque core; medium viscosity with moderate stain of the tears. On the nose, the wine is developing with notes of wild strawberry, pine forest, Juniper berries, forest floor, hot asphalt, sage, leather, and rounded off by the smell of an old, cracked bar of Irish Spring soap from a basement shower. On the palate the wine is bone dry with medium+ tannin and medium+ acid. Confirming the notes on the nose. The finishes long and gorgeous. Rustic but beautiful and a brutally honest wine. Wow. Drink now through 2034. — 2 months ago
