v21. Very good!! Decant a bit. White pepper and cedar nose. Juicy, rich, dark dark berry and raspberry fruit. Long, smooth, slightly chalky and bitter mocha finish. Nice food wine. — 5 months ago

A day opened from another dinner, and shared during our cheese course. Honestly didn't focus much on this wine after the insane Comté and 13' Les Chalasses Marnes Bleues pairing. Plus, let's not forget about the battering of Rieslings that came before. One taste and I knew this just didn't have a fighting chance during the night. Too rich and creamy to match the energy of the Rieslings, yet not quite rich enough to match the 09' Lafon Perrieres. Nothing wrong per say, but it was just so average among the other wines of the night. Another one to look into again on better circumstances. — 3 years ago
Great wine. Full bodied but not overly heavy. Tastes of fruits and spices with hints of licorice. Paired with pistachio crusted rack of lamb perfectly! $28 — 10 months ago
@Delectable Wine - This is the “Soleil de Brulhie” cuvée. medium intensity nose on pop-n-pour, with pure, dark cherry, crushed granite, and a vague but pleasant whiff of parmigiano rind. Intense and large-framed in the mouth. More acids, tannin, and alcohol than expected. The fruit is there, but this not as friendly a style as the usual cru. Kids of minerality and a bone dry finish. Would go very well with a winter beef stew. — 2 years ago
Carbonic, funky, fruity and spicy. A real excellent wine that exemplifies the Loire Valley. — 3 years ago
Dark ruby color, nose with accents of "Blue Stones" rather black cherry, accompanied by toasted melted notes of aging. The third dimension is driven by evolution and its many very Burgundian nuances (roasting, undergrowth, pot-pourri). Semi-light body although quite intense and concentrated, The finish is of a beautiful length, carried by fleshy and coated aging tannins.
— 3 years ago

Second wine from Pibarnon and a stunning effort. Still quite nervous but time will solve this easily. 70% Mourvedre and 30% Syrah — 3 months ago
