This beauty offers up notes of peach, pear, and spiced citrus, balanced by a flinty minerality. Very enjoyable. Made from partially dried grapes. 100% Garganega. 11/5/22. — 4 years ago
Engaging expressive nose with lanolin, some dusty east aromas, Mandarine peel, and some green tart apple after a while.
On the palate this has some creamy texture & richness yet also racy acidity with tart lemons, lemon peel, a bit of beeswax and a salty tang towards the finish. Doesn’t have the depth or minerality of the Bomboly but this is a very good wine and drinking beautifully with 4y of age. — 5 years ago
Easy to drink without a food pairing. Berry forward but not too light — 6 years ago
Deep Ruby color with aromas of dark berry fruits, oak and floral notes. On the palate flavors of blackberry, cherry and plums with tobacco and herb spice. Firm grippy tannins, medium+ finish ending with fruit, oak, spice and mineral character. Ok but Juliet better! — 5 months ago
This was very well grown (Crozet) and produced (by Chris)- this was delicious and while it didn’t mimic Argentinian Malbec, it did offer varietal difference than CF or CS… I really let this run until I had the right meal to pair it with… 14.5 years is a long time, but it stood the test of time so a big high five — a year ago

Bomboly Dülö Dry Furmint 2017
Light golden in colour and quite expressive on the nose with intense (over)ripe lemons with floral notes and slightly smoky aromas with a whiff of orange peel and lanolin.
Bright & lively citrus acidity softened with ripe fruit (lemons again) a pinch of turmeric and a bit of (old) large barrel aging. Finishes off with a tart, slightly tannic edge.
This has depth & complexity and also is quite polished & elegant. A delicious, superb wine. — 5 years ago
Beautiful amber color. Straight out of Jurassic Park.
Candied ginger, citrus, roasted almonds, and mango chutney.
Oh man. This is a flavor bomb. Bursting of apricot and tropicana. Guava. That is the primary note. Feels like I’m eating a Romeo & Juliet at a Cuban hole in the wall in Miami.
That’s all I can taste now. Wonderful, goodbye. — 6 years ago
Drank without decanting. Light on the nose and a smooth sweet taste on the tongue. Fruit flavors and not intense at all. Great wine and well named! Day 2: sweet fruity smell with more of an alcohol scent. As I taste it, I still taste fruit but it is a bit more acidic. Still good overall but not the same as day 1. — 7 months ago

I seem to be on a recent kick exploring rarely seen and exceedingly special wines. This time, it’s “Juliet”. Popped and poured; enjoyed over the course of a couple hours. The 2021 “Juliet” pours a straw color with medium viscosity. On the nose the wine is developing with matchstick for dayzzzz. There’s an abundance of fresh, ripe passion fruit, star fruit, peach, white flowers, lemon verbena, and minerals. On the palate, the wine is dry with medium+ acid. Confirming the notes from the nose. The finish is long and the texture is out of this world. Incredible. Drink now through 2041. — 5 months ago
