Have not had in 3.5 years and wow this is drinking so well. A superstar. Nose is all wet earth, decay, sweet spices and macerated cherries. Palate is a wonder of juicy cherry fruit, freshness and layered complexity. Dead leaves, buoyant acidity and a long, lingering finish. Needs some time to open but man is this great out of the bottle. As this airs the palate complexity is so compelling. The tannins are so oh so fine. This after many hours was so elegant and fine. Meaty and pure. This is drinking perfectly now after an hour open. — 3 days ago

Have not had in 4.5 years Stunning nose of mid season cherry, sour cherry, some dead leaves, tree bark, old wooden barrel and wild mint. A nose one can sink your teeth into. Palate has awesome freshness and acidity. So clean and pure. Nimble and wispy. So much energy and very velvety tannins. Needs to open up but great stuff. As it opens it gets so much sweeter and is so elegant. 9.3 to 9.4. Oh wow did this get good. Silky and sweet. Deeper. Lusher. Juicier. — 7 days ago

Big 18 sunshine nose. Violets, mulch and spice. Some nice sweet wood as well. But just enormous spice. Very Fruh. Palate is so elegant and full of violets and wonderful inner mouth florals. Really nice opulent texture and just floats. Let’s see what air does. After air this gets more linear and gains edge and energy. Really different now than when it was p and p. — 7 months ago

This one is a winner. Delightful and graceful, my guests all loved it. We served it with a miso, coconut salmon curry and it was a beautiful pair. So much juice for the money! And the frizzante really is wonderful.  — 4 months ago
