I loved it. Also had at Bern's. Full, oakey. Pairs great with the delicious steak we had. 10/10 would get again — 2 days ago

P4 Grenache

Faulty but intriguing. What’s right and what’s wrong though? There’s some brett, a little VA, maybe moussy but I’m not great at picking that up. No sense of place though. A James Halliday nightmare (giggle). — 10 days ago

John Robert Eppler (JRE Wines)

Diamond Mountain District Cabernet Sauvignon 2010

Has been 3 years since I opened one of these and this is really coming into a nice spot right now. This wine is dark, deep, and full bodied. Black cork with tartrate on every square mm. Poured black, inky to the glass. Nose of spice cookie, cinnamon, nutmeg, blackberry cassis. Entry mimicked the same with a graphite and shale note to the middle. This wine finished with good acidity, softened but toasted cedar tannins. Now wishing that I had kept this one another year or two, but drinking at the very top of the hill right now in my opinion. I think this one will have another 5-7 years before it needs to be consumed, but I'd say that if you want to be treated, open this now! — 16 days ago

Edmunds St. John

Barsotti Ranch Syrah 2014

One of my favorite producers in CA. Unapologetic and consistently true to form. Crushed cherry, wild berries, apricot, red apple skin, sweet lavender pastille, smoked meat, redwood forest, coffee bean, warm and turned earth. Vin de soif, fresh, infused, love the tannin profile and vivacious energy this has. — 18 days ago

John Lewis Syrah 2012

Particularly smooth for a Syrah, needs a fair amount of time in the decanter to appreciate the nuances of the blend. — a month ago
