Turner Vineyard Syrah 2009

Chalky, mineral aromas and flavors up front, cooler blue fruits show next, this was probably always my favorite of the Syrah vineyards Joey used, as it usually was the lowest in ABV (13.6% here) and thus showed more freshness and acidity, drinking beautifully tonight!! — 4 days ago

Thompson Vineyard Syrah 2007

Still dark purple color, richer and riper than the 2007 Turner, dark fruits, still showing pretty tannic structure, long finish, very good, but I prefer the freshness (better acidity, lower ABV (by 1%)) of the Turner, should improve another 3-5 years, or more. — 2 months ago

Fundamental Central Coast Red Blend 2021

2021 vintage. Red blend that is banging for the resto ($14) price. A definite woofer. Great large party bbq wine. 7.3.24. — 5 months ago

Colson Canyon Vineyard Syrah 2023

2023 vintage. From Coravin. Syrah for Cabernet drinkers. Massive, smooth body and currently without any of the quirky, bretty Syrah flavors that can pull a full frontal assault on the palate. Delicious. Would love to taste in a decade to see what weightiness has left the building and how it has been replaced by the wine nature abhors a vacuum flavors. 10.23.24. — a month ago

Tierra Alta Vineyard Syrah 2004

Blue and black fruit aromas and flavors, rich but not overripe, nicely balanced, color shows some browning, this seems mature, should hold for a few more years at least, long finish. — 4 months ago

So, I last had this TEN years ago, and speculated that it was mature then, but I obviously underestimated its staying power!!
