Age that Fruh! At 10 this is really coming into its own Gorgeous nose of wet earth, spice and desiccated leaves and tree bark. An interesting citrus note as well. So expressive. Just a stunning nose. The fierce tannins of this have calmed down and it’s an ultra silky and has superb concentration and awesome mid season cherry fruit and some blackberry overtones. Sweet tannins and exceptional length. Air is always this wine’s friend. — 3 months ago
Crafted from up to 100 individual small lots, deep Ruby color with aromas of red berry fruit and sweet spices. On the palate ripe black cherry and blackberry flavors, with some dried fruit notes, toasty oak, cinnamon spice and cola tones. Fine mouth coating tannins with balanced acidity carry this rich wine to a long finish. Nice! — 3 months ago
The 2021 Proprietary Red Wine Pure Paso® mixes plum sauce and fig with grilled herbs and dusty dried flowers. It's elegant and refined with supple textures and polished black fruits that envelope the palate in youthful concentration. This leaves a pleasantly chewy saturation and a coating of fine-grained tannins. Finishing long, classically dry and complex. (Eric Guido, Vinous, July 2024)

Slight lemongrass bouquet. Slight and subtle fresh aromas.
Bought two of these so I could taste one after some years.
Super balanced. A rush of fresh effervescence and meadow like palate. Blades of supple grass, a beautiful chew, bracing acidity balanced with nice mineralogy.
Very elegant. And quaffable. Slight petrol note towards the end but nicely accentuates the overall expression of Riesling. — 3 months ago
Compared to the last Becker dry Spatlese tasted, this was less inviting: a bit more mineral & stony, with none of the fruit flavors associated with Riesling to be found. Very chiseled & imagine needs time in bottle/ long decant. You can still taste the precision though. — 4 months ago
The 2021 Cabernet Sauvignon Hilltop lifts from the glass with a peppery freshness, mixing hints of sage with chalk dust and blackberries. It's soothingly round and supple with ripe red and black fruits underscored by saline minerals as grippy tannins mount toward the close. This finishes structured with medium length, leaving the palate refreshed while maintaining youthful poise. (Eric Guido, Vinous, July 2024)

Crafted by Joseph J. Wagner, 4th generation winemaker, with winemaking roots in the Napa Valley since 1906. Deep Ruby with red berry fruit aromas, tea and sweet spice notes. On the palate flavors of jammy blackberry and cherry with pronounced sweet vanilla oak, cacao and pepper spice notes. Soft tannins and bright acidity, well balanced, with mineral tones on a long finish ending with toasty spice! Nice! — 2 months ago
burnt red translucent appearance, strong whisky bouquet, flavors of honey with sweet ripe red grape and plum — after trying a dark chocolate, tasted nutty and smooth; buttery — 4 months ago

Pop and pour. A majestic magenta color with bricking. On the nose: port type nose with dark fruit, musky earth, worn leather, black olives, and minty menthol. Taste: blackberry, woodsy, smoke, graphite, dark chocolate, and a peppery astringent tar medium plus finish. Not the best showing of aged Cali cab, and don't think it will improve, so drink em if you got em. Still enjoyed it tonight. — 2 days ago
