Great wine! Bold and flavorful — a month ago
Dry. Excellent. Better with a long decant. — 5 days ago
At Moore Brothers tasting of Piemonte with Fung and Mary 1/25/25. Unusual blend with fruit from high up by the foothills of Alps but microclimate warm enough for palm trees. A rather rich and round texture and wouldn’t have guessed Nebbiolo. — 17 days ago
Lots of minerality, smells of petrol. Interesting yeasty undertones. Great for sipping, be cautious pairing with foods — a month ago
What a lovely and delightful wine! We served it along with a root vegetable pot roast over jalapeño cheddar grits, and all of my guests thought it worked really well. It has enough strength and backbone along with graceful bright fruit, and that fabulous Italian acidity. What a wonderful food wine. — a month ago
Really beautiful Brielle that shows so much complexity and character, very perfumy nose that developed and opened up over time and a great balance of fruit, floral/cedar notes and tannin on the palate. Tannins were very delicate but present and structured, really beautiful wine — a month ago
Very good Rosso di Montalcino! Especially with hard cheese and Italian bread! Would also be great with pasta, grilled meats, etc al. Just okay as a sipping wine but comes alive with food!Cherries, brambley fruits, low tannins, good qpr especially as compared to Brunello! — 2 months ago

Popped and poured; enjoyed over the course of 90 minutes. Arianna’s 2022 “Il Frappato” pours a ruby color with a transparent core; medium viscosity with no staining of the tears. On the nose, the wine is youthful with notes of tart red fruits: strawberry, pomegranate, subtle Eastern spices and rocky earth. On the palate, the wine is dry with medium tannin and medium+ acid. Confirming the notes from the nose. The finish is medium. As usual, a fresh, elegant and serious expression of Frappato. Drink now through 2032. — 8 days ago
