What a lovely and delightful wine! We served it along with a root vegetable pot roast over jalapeño cheddar grits, and all of my guests thought it worked really well. It has enough strength and backbone along with graceful bright fruit, and that fabulous Italian acidity. What a wonderful food wine. — 8 days ago

2013 vintage. Needed an hour and a half to open. Light, juicy, unripe dark red fruits, black pepper, excellent with spicy homemade pizzas. — 8 days ago
Sangiovese / sagrantino / montepulciano blend from hilltop vineyard, several years of tank and cask ageing but no new wood. Huge wine but somehow manages to be lively and dimensional. Dark, fleshy red and black fruits with lots of savory, herbal and floral elements — a month ago

Red fruit but the savory side of it; that crayola thing I am a slut for, clay, pipe tobacco, tomato jam, rosewood, incense, savory herbs and developed red fruit on the palate. They say you can only have this kind n Rhode Island but I feel like some Italians can have it too. Delish. — a month ago
Light, jammy front with a smooth, lightly earthy finish. — 14 days ago
Wine is dark ruby, with purplish on the edge. On nose its ripe fruit, floral parfumed, oak in there, violets, tobacco. On palate, wine is full bodied, jammy, fine acidity, tannic, wine is open up after 1 hour decant. The intensity is there. Its still too young to drink. Try it after 2026. Red bordeaux blend, Cheers! — 22 days ago

Very good Rosso di Montalcino! Especially with hard cheese and Italian bread! Would also be great with pasta, grilled meats, etc al. Just okay as a sipping wine but comes alive with food!Cherries, brambley fruits, low tannins, good qpr especially as compared to Brunello! — 24 days ago
