Happy Twelve Days After My Birthday to me. I rarely see but always cherish wines from Henri Boillot. This Bourgogne outclasses the majority of village whites. Tastes and smells like a top quality Meursault to me, though I understand other villages contribute to the blend. Hazelnut, oatmeal, a little lemon oil, gorgeous fruit. Crisp in the mouth, with excellent buoyant acids and nice persistence. Yum. My rating might be a little generous because I’m happy to be drinking this! — a month ago
A magnum that should improve over the next decade went well with a perfectly roasted turkey. — 10 days ago

Still one of the great alt whites in the world.
N: swirling white and yellow flowers. Almost an echo of tropical fruit.
P: delicious. Clean. Balanced. Juicy. Liquid yellow flowers. Some crunch. Mountain steam. Amazing elegance.
9.5-9.6. Sick value at this price.

Opened up after a hour pulling cork. Very rustic as first, moving into a sold wine, but not classic Volnay silk — 8 hours ago
