444 represents the Cab planting of the estate vineyard: 4 different clones, 4 different root stock, on 4 different blocks.
This is more exuberant than the other 2 cabs. More apparent leathery and herbaceous notes as well. Not as deep and polished. Very solid overall. — a year ago
Le nez prend un peu de temps à se placer, nez assez classique de rive-gauche par la suite, ne montre aucune fatigue, superbe texture, une finale longue et savoureuse, très beau. 92-93
The nose needs some air, the cork was wet with some aromas of wet cardboard at first but things got for the better after with no apparent defect and a classic left bank nose. Gorgeous balanced Cos, not the most powerful at this point but gracious, showing no fatigue also with a long delicious finish.

2014 vintage. 3 hour decant.
3/6.5/9.5 = 19 out of 100 say 96.
High quality Barossa Shiraz with an awesome bouquet apparent as soon as it’s released from the bottle (though I always think blending Viognier is cheating in that regard). Still a strong tannin/acid structure so still not at its peak - say 5 years more at least. High alcohol content but integrated perfectly - didn’t even notice. Really pleasant long linger. Standish is an artist so you must collect and try. My next move is to try back to back with a Yarra Yering Dry Red No. 2 — 2 months ago
Dark ruby in color with a wide reddish rim and medium plus intensity.
Pretty nose with red and blue fruits, light oak, herbs, licorice, chocolates and spices.
Full-bodied and elegant with medium acidity.
Dry on the palate with cherries, plums, red currants, earth, light wood, spices, coffee, dark chocolates, tobacco leaf and peppercorn.
Long tangy finish with soft tannins and tangy raspberries.
This is a very interesting Cabernet Sauvignon from Napa Valley. Not the typical Napa Cabernet. Very unique, spicy and tangy.
Soft and elegant on the palate, with nice complexity.
A good quality wine. Still young, and will continue to age nicely in the next 7 years.
Good right out of the bottle and much better after an hour to open up properly.
The high alcohol is not very noticeable at this point.
Good by itself as a sipping wine or with food. I paired it with cheeses and crackers.
A blend of 90% Cabernet Sauvignon, 6% Cabernet Franc and 4% Merlot.
14.7% alcohol by volume.
91 points.

New to Barolo, definitely a 2nd day wine in its youth. Much better than last nights glass,
James Suckling 98
"The fruit feels so comfortable here, in the ripe-red zone; it ranges from cherry kernel to chocolate-coated red plums to glazed cherries. Integrated hints of bark and sandalwood. Full-bodied with strapping tannins and muscular, imposing structure and power. Notwithstanding, everything is in striking balance and delivered with remarkable precision and grit."

"The Damilano 2016 Barolo Cannubi shows depth and a profound nature. This is the DNA of the Cannubi cru, maybe the most celebrated in the appellation with mildly compact, well-draining sandy soils (actually, a mix of 45 sand, 35 silt and 20 clay, to be precise). These conditions contribute to the dark concentration and the firm textural support found here. These assets are particularly apparent in this classic vintage. Dark fruit and dried cherry cede to earthy truffle and licorice. Of these various single-vineyard expressions, the tight tannins on this Cannubi definitely suggest a long drinking window. This wine is my favorite in this flight from Damilano, and this vintage of 40,000 bottles is distinguished by its sheer excellence." — 3 years ago
Cassis and oak - the latter quite noticeable. From a ripe year where the fruit should be apparent but at the moment the oak dominates - mocha notes, but then again still has a huge future. Amazing what a solid core of self contained full body this has for 16 years of age, but still of profound intensity - dark chocolate and black currant. Will go on for literally decades - only have 2 left. Penfolds “Rewards of Patience “ say through to 2050! That is not as crazy as it sounds. This wine is close to immortal Next one in 10 years. — 5 months ago
Popped and poured; no formal notes. A mix of dark and red fruits with tobacco, earth and spices. The wine is finally matured and drinking very well now. It has lost all of the green tones that were more apparent in its youth. Everything is now fully fleshed out and should continue to drink well for another 5+ years. Really, these are some lovely (and age-able) wines from the Four Corners area of CO.

Medium intensity rubi with nice soft tannins, red fruit flav and apparent high alcohol ( 15 abv). High acidity. I tasted this same vintages 2 years ago. Now it’s much better! Drink it now. Nice wine! — 4 years ago

Dark ruby in color with a wide reddish rim.
Pretty nose with wild flowers, red cherries, plums, currants, light tobacco, chocolates, light oak, spices and licorice.
Medium plus in body and elegant, with medium acidity and long legs.
Dry on the palate with sweet cherries, blueberries, plums, light cedar, licorice, light earth, herbs, chocolates, black pepper and light black tea.
Long finish with fine grained tannins and tangy raspberries.
This 2 year old Napa red blend is drinking beautifully already. Elegant and fruit forward, but not in your face kind of wine.
Still young, and needs a few years in the bottle to mature properly. Will continue to age nicely in the next 5 to 10 years.
Needs time in to open up properly, but good right out of the bottle too. I gave it 3 hours in the decanter.
A good quality wine with potential to become a 94+ point wine.
Showing nice complexity and mouthfeel. Fruit forward, and already enjoyable even by itself. Well balanced, spicy and tangy.
Easy drinking once it opens up. Good by itself as a sipping wine or with food.
14.7% alcohol by volume.
92 points.
