Love this stuff: underrated varietal & Bossard is a master: pale straw colored, fresh citrus, salinity & minerals galore. This is a lean angular assassin. We had fish tacos - just fantastic. These are age-worthy so no hurry to drink — 4 months ago

Vermentino 2020

See 3 previous Delectable notes. This was my last bottle of the best new world Vermentino I’ve had. Green apple, medium acid. Grand Champion of the Toowoomba Wine Show in 2021 when I was a Judge. Quite delicious - more full bodied than any Italian Vermentino I’ve had. The palate is quite unctuous with mandarin and quince. Even though the winery is in Queensland on the Granite Belt, the fruit comes from the Mildura (NW Victoria) warm region. — 4 months ago

Day 2 notes. Nose of blueberry and blackberry, granite and graphite. Dark and rich but super mineral as well. Palate is energetic and fresh but also dark and rich with blackberry and blueberry galore. Young and disjointed as it was yesterday but it’s all there. Check back in 5 years — 2 years ago

Ultreia Saint Jacques Mencía 2020

NOSE: A little European funk, flowers (violet?), sweet nutmeg, granite, dark berries.

TASTE: juicy berry, baking spices, a little earthy funk. Basically a juicy berry version of the nose, 90.

Expression de Granite Muscadet de Sèvre-et-Maine Melon de Bourgogne 2010

14 years in, this is taut minerality with some floral as well, great acidity, still has some time to go, though I’d say it’s mature now, very nice!! — 5 months ago

Nose is so seductive. Wow. Violets. Meat, dark berry fruit. Unreal granite and just so expressive. I’m thrilled how great this is. Stunning. Raspberry spice cake. Just sick. 9.6 nose. Smells like God’s Jelly Donut. Palate is juicy, precise and lean. Wow is this slathered with minerals, but seems a bit closed initially. But man is poised, concentrated and slathered with gorgeous minerals. Long floral/berry infused finish. Let’s see how this develops but so fine now. — 2 years ago
