Dark Cherry. Nice bold red. Excellent value — 8 months ago

Laurel Glen

Cabernet Sauvignon 1985

Shows a little of the bell pepper aromas that I often found in older Sonoma Cabs, but nicely balanced fruit that is still quite youthful, tannins have mostly receded, drinking quite well tonight, bravo Patrick for making this gem!! — 3 years ago

Delicious acidic green apple flavored Chardonnay. Lighter in color and flavor then the Chard I'm use to. Drinks beautifully! — 6 years ago

Luna Matta & Glen Rose Vineyards Nebbiolo 2006

My last bottle from the defunct yet memorable winery.

Smells so delicious, like a fruit yogurt

This drinks like it is fresh, with blackberry bramble, subtle and unique red fruits tucked behind the leather ones.
Tannins are still very gripping, and the acidity tames it back. A touch of heat and its off to the races!

Laurel Glen Vineyard

Sonoma Mountain Estate Cabernet Sauvignon 2013

2013 vintage. Captures more than a bit of that old-school, 80's-90's Laurel Glen magic and oomph. Firing right now and for the foreseeable future. Medium/medium-heavy body. 2.18.26. — 6 months ago

Very NZ SB like nose of exotic tropical fruits, lime, and fresh cut grass. One of the most richly textured SB I’ve tasted on the palate, complemented by vibrant and fresh acidity.
Really good.

Elgin Pinot Noir 2018

My first South African Pinot Noir! (From the Elgin Region). Very interesting. Big oak aromas and flavors much of which does burn off. (Barrels heavily charred?) Also violets, charcoal and dark cherry on the nose. Pallet notes more dark cherry and grilled rosemary. Light bodied and mouth watering acidity, but beautifully balanced. Interesting wine. — 6 years ago
