Vintage 2018 | light colour, cedar, brushwood and a smell of barnyard/stable. Taste a bit one dimensional.

My first South African Pinot Noir! (From the Elgin Region). Very interesting. Big oak aromas and flavors much of which does burn off. (Barrels heavily charred?) Also violets, charcoal and dark cherry on the nose. Pallet notes more dark cherry and grilled rosemary. Light bodied and mouth watering acidity, but beautifully balanced. Interesting wine.
