Extremely enjoyable, great substitute when you don’t want to pay 4x for the Barolo. Plenty of depth and intrigue here. Pleasure. — a month ago
2007 vintage drinking very well - was almost ready out of the bottle but improved with a few hours in the decanter. Wonderful red fruit on the palate with strawberries, raspberries and red cherries. Alcohol was slightly perceptible. This is in a good place and seems unlikely to improve much, but nowhere near a state of decline. Fruit is still quite primary with nice acidity — a month ago

Crisp, tight dark red fruit that initially hid the earthy, forest floor flavors. It ultimately all integrated nicely in about an hour. Always an interesting ride with a Barolo. This one was 12 years old so we thought we didn’t need to decant….had to be patient instead. — a month ago
There is amazing balance in these wines. A certain lightness despite 16.5 alcohol which is a testimony to the greatness of the producer. Takes time to open and would benefit from a further aging after 11 years. Great spices and black fruit, full bodied. — a month ago
No idea how a 16.3% ABV wine is this smooth. Tons of crushed raspberry with a red licorice finish. Almost seems refreshing. — a month ago
I might have had three glasses of this before I realized others at the table might want some of it. — 2 days ago
I am intrigued by this wine- it has subtle minerality with a clean finish. I plan to track down more:) — 18 days ago
So juicy and tasty, such structured wine but super smooth at the same time — a month ago

Very hot year with very ripe fruit, blackberries, plums, leather and tar. Extremely well balanced in spite of the 16.5 alcohol. Wonderful. — 18 hours ago
