Asili Riserva Barbaresco Nebbiolo 1996

Was honestly a bit disappointed this relative to some other wines from him. Ie was excellent out of the bottle but I think it might have gotten over decanted 4 hrs post opening. Surprisingly I liked the 1996 Barolo from him better — 13 days ago

Falletto di Serralunga d'Alba Riserva Barolo Nebbiolo 1989

A wonderful lush nose. Burgundy like with floral notes, soft red cherry, leather. Savory and lifted and delicious. Great — a month ago

Valmaggiore Nebbiolo d'Alba 2021

Deep Ruby color with aromas of rich berry fruits and floral spice, aged for 14 months in French oak. On the palate flavors of cherry, plum and raspberry flavors, with leather, cacao, spice, herbs and tobacco notes. Lively acidity, fine chewy tannins, medium+ finish ending with spicy mineral and earthy oak. Nice! — 2 months ago

White citrus in the nose. Burst of flavors on the palate. Green apple, quince, slight smoke, pomelo and under ripe pear. Longish finish — 6 days ago

Falletto di Serralunga D'Alba Barolo Nebbiolo 2015

Wow. Not like a Barolo. More like Burgundian. It’s very elegant with light tannins and exquisitely paired with every item on the tasting menu. — 2 months ago

Le Rocche Del Falletto Di Serralunga D'Alba Riserva Barolo Nebbiolo

Unlike the barbaresco, this got WAY better with time in the decanter. Much more structure vs the barbaresco and more depth. It was still quite tanic out of the bottle but with time it all became well integrated. — 13 days ago

lovely soft dried cherry on the nose. Tangy marmalade. Haunting floral notes. Pretty. Likely Past its prime, but delicious and full of character. — a month ago

Barbera d'Alba 2020

A $40 Barbera….. but it drinks like a $40 Barbera. Really tasty. Would be a great midweek go to wine when cooking Italian at home. — 2 months ago
