Gaia & Rey Langhe Chardonnay 2019

9.6

I like this a lot, it is something on it's own and a refreshing alternative from the usual Burgundy clone style. Rich, round and creamy. Some green notes (pleasant) and cardboard (not corcked). — 11 days ago

Pretty blue fruits and black fruits, lovely balance, kiss of oak, medium-weight, medium-long finish, very nice Margaret River Cabernet! — 8 months ago

Heytesbury Margaret River Chardonnay 2015

An amazing high level Margaret River Chardonnay drinking at its peak. Smoky herbal aromas with ripe grapefruit. A medium + bodied palate of profound intensity. Still mainly citrus and ripe grapefruit notes on the palate with mineral. Great right now but would go on at this level for a year or two. My last bottle of the 2015. — 2 days ago

Vasse Felix

Margaret River Chardonnay 2017

This is the 2nd rated Vasse Felix Chardonnay behind the world class Heytesbury and ahead of the amazing value Filius. This was my last 2017 having made no notes for the first two. Expresses everything which is great about Margaret River Chardonnay. Complexity without cost. Ripe grapefruit with a balanced creamy French oak note which is largely integrated at 7 years of age. More citrus than stone fruit - a little nectarine? Great QPR at $31 AUD. — a year ago

@Bob McDonald, I wish I could find this and the Heytesbury here on the U.S. West Coast — Vasse Felix really does great stuff at such low price points!!
