Nice and balanced, by-the-book Spatburgunder but goes under the international name Pinot Noir. Spicy, peppery and dried berries character — 4 years ago
Simple, pretty little bottle of earthy mushrooms, red apple skin, tart cherries, and dried cranberries. Light bodied, flirtatious, and raw.

Brilliant Spätlese, 2003 — 9 years ago
Delicious. Everything a Rheingau Riesling should be. Mineralogy, petroleum, quince, ruby grapefruit, slight wild honey. For $16, a steal! Can only imagine what it would taste like with more age.... — 9 years ago

Holy Sh&t! One is always nervous when they open a bottle that is 50 years old. I knew provenance and storage was pristine. The color was spot on. The nose is a symphony of fruit. The palate is as if one was drinking marmalade that provides a sensation of sweet and sour notes. Opulent but pure velvet in the mouth providing an endless finish. Perhaps what was most astounding was the freshness. This wine is immortal! — 14 days ago
