The paradox of a wine that appears as "dead for then reborn" is the sensation that this wine provides, which we can't imagine drinking so old (16 years old). The dress is ruby-tile, unfiltered. In the mouth, notes of red fruits (strawberry) are always imposed with vivacity, supported by multiple and aerial notes of evolution. Light bitters bring a very interesting paradoxical dimension for those who love evolved wines.

Le paradoxe d’un vin qui apparaît comme « mort pour puis re-né » voilà la sensation que procure ce vin, qu’on imagine pas boire si vieux (16 ans). La robe est rubis-tuile, non filtrée. En bouche des notes de fruits rouges (fraise) s’imposent toujours avec vivacité, soutenues par des notes d’évolution multiples et aériennes. De légers amers apportent une dimension paradoxale fort intéressantes pour qui aiment les vins évolués.

Gevrey-Chambertin Pinot Noir 2018

12.5%. At 40bucks a bargain these days. Rough around the edges but otherwise a great wine with dark cherry notes, lime, back palate kaffir lime, tart, hint cigar box and a touch of herbs (my guess is some whole cluster), quite dark. I would suggest drink now with a decant. Quite smooth after some time (I hate this word). — 5 months ago

Brouilly Beaujolais 2006

These old Brouilly are really incredible! Intense notes of peppery wild strawberries, truffle evolution, undergrowth, dried flowers, blood orange.. the finish is persistent, like the fragrances of a perfume, intertwining fine tannins and endless acidity veins, with light bitters welcome.

Ces vieux Brouilly sont vraiment incroyables! Notes intenses de fraises de bois poivrées, évolution truffe, sous-bois, fleurs séchées, orange sanguine.. la finale est rémanente, tel les fragrances d’un parfum, entrelaçants tanins fins et nervures d’acidité sans fin, avec de légers amers bienvenus.

Les Genévrières Bourgogne Pinot Noir 2020

This is a lot thicker than I expected in a French Pinot Noir. There is a little pasture in the nose and a hint of rubber ball that does faintly appear in the finish. Some flint as well buried beneath an unexpected amount of red currant jam. I would buy again when looking for a fuller bodied Pinot. — 8 months ago
