Bussia Barolo Nebbiolo 2015

I sold Barolos and Barbarescos from this winery with the first importer I worked for back in the early 80s. It’s been in the decanter about an hour, and though the lightish color shows maturity, some fruit is emerging g to join with the intense mahogany furniture/old library scents. Incense too, along with faded rose petals. Very classic. In the mouth, it’s powerful and somewhat austere. Not a fruity wine. Still a fair amount of tannin present. The austerity and power will pair nicely with the braised oxtails (coda alla vaccinara) that are almost ready. — a day ago

Barbera d'Alba 2023

Rich black cherry aromas, juicy on the palate with soft acidity and soft tannins, a round and pleasing feel that's super drinkable. I take back my comment about not really liking any Italian wine!! — 4 months ago

One of my favorite regions. Wine was gorgeous. Not overpowering in the least but I did decant for about an hour. — 6 months ago

Nose: closed. As it opens wild mint and menthol. Elegant herbals.

Palate: lovely pink roses. Sweet cherries. Elegant. Lean. Geeky. Juicy. Menthol.

Speziale Verduno Pelaverga 2019

Mid cherry red in colour - translucent in parts. Red fruits of raspberry and strawberry with peppery notes. Good value at $47AUD. Slightly bitter at the end - a great food wine as expected. — 4 months ago

Bob….Congrats.
You have found a great wine from an incredible producer.
They also makes a white wine from Favorita grapes which have been genetically linked to Vermentino.
I love drinking it.
