Tinto de Toro 2010

Smacks you in the face with French oak - clove, nutmeg, vanilla bean, cedar bark. There is a richness to the oak, which mellows with air. Plum, blackcherry, and black raspberry fruit too... rich and extracted in style. Palate delivers smokey dark cherry and plum, with cocoa shavings engulfed in vanilla and baking spices. Think cherry jubilee with vanilla bean ice cream. Tannins have softened and are balanced beautifully with elegant acidity. Rich and opulent. This is winter time fireside wine - pair with dark chocolate mousse. Drink now with a splash decant. — a year ago
