Sultry, deep dark black raspberry, mocha, clove, and anise. Complimentary lifted eucalyptus, almost minty aromas too. Dark berry, French oak scents, tobacco, and black peppercorns dance on the palate. At 15.5% the alcohol doesn’t show, but this is rich and opulent. Perfect for a ribeye or fireside night cap. Drink or hold. — 2 years ago

Light sparkling with a lingering tart flavor and beautiful color with a nose like a sour beer, with notes of bubblegum and funky raspberry. Hella refreshing and Perfect for breakfast/brunch and paid well with Olympics!#breakfastwine #brunchwine #naturalwine — 3 years ago

The 2014 Clos de la Roche Grand Cru puts in a convincing performance. With brambly red berry fruit on the nose, the coolness of the growing season allows the mineralité of this to really shine, with time in the glass revealing hints of autumn bonfire/fireside hearth. The palate is beautifully structured. It's saline with darker fruit than the aromatics. Quite linear and what you might call "vertical" in style, this is a superb expression of the Grand Cru that still needs a bit of time in bottle. (Neal Martin, Vinous, June 2024)
