Gift from C.P. (Thanks, girl. Good taste.). After a hefty helping of “I just sold my favorite house” marinated for 24 hours in “seller might back out,” then roasted in “because the HOA can’t get it together,” this glass brings out the delicious and sweet flavors of the realtor’s negotiator skills and husband’s unwavering commitment to ANY project. Thank you C. Wish you were here to share. — 3 days ago
It is time for my #FridayCabernetfix. Here is a yummy one from a great vintage in Bordeaux.
This is a very enjoyable Left Bank Bordeaux with some nice age.
Showing red and black fruits with earth, chocolates, tobacco leaf, light oak, vegetables, wet leaves, herbs and peppercorn.
Medium plus in body with medium plus acidity.
Nice length on the finish with fine grained tannins and tart pomegranates.
This 24 year old is showing great complexity and mouthfeel at this point. Elegant and tasty.
Needs 90 minutes to open up properly and show some tannins.
Robert Parker 90 points.
I paired it with a charcuterie board of meats and cheeses.
A blend of 57% Cabernet Sauvignon, 38% Merlot, 3% Petit Verdot and 2% Cabernet Franc.
12.5% alcohol by volume.

Sweet start, dry and bold finish, slightly dry aftertaste.... Good for easy drinking without being too heavy. Would appeal to lots of different winos :) — 22 days ago
Deep and dark for a Granacha (aka Grenache). Smells lovely. Clean, fresh water meets berry patch. Lightest of barny element in the nose too. Flavor is fruit driven and oh so clean. Bitterness is prefect. Like cherry juice and fresh blackberries, but not as sweet. Plenty of smoke and woodsy-ness with the fruits & berries. Just lovely, affordable, high quality wine from España! — 10 days ago
