Hofgut Falkenstein

Ockfener Bockstein Kabinett Ap# 22 Riesling 2022

A nice bottle but this is the first bottle of Falkenstein that did not wow me. All the flavors that you expect are there, but I did not feel that jolt of electricity ( acid) that I have come to expect from this producer. — 21 hours ago

Just awesome unpretentiousness. Med+ acid, apple, grapefruit, white flower maybe… and sense of place. Sixteen ninety nine. ❤️ — a year ago

Niedermenniger Herrenberg Spätlese Weißburgunder 2019

Finally got to try one of these with some bottle age. Maybe my favorite wine in their lineup; super unique. Unlike any Pinot blanc anywhere and really shares more with Riesling from the konzer tälchen than anything. Beautiful, crystalline stuff. — 2 months ago

PET NAT White Blend

Round 2 / this time with a selection of cheeses.

Lemongrass, pandan leaf, white cherries.

Zesty comes to mind. Straight up Asian pair. The crispness of fresh forest air. Savory, fine bubbles of tropical fruit. Lychee and mango but subtle and cut with the nice welcome dryness of biting into a freshly picked apple

Pear, lemon, lemon curd. Cloudy, acidic and yet lactic and soft. A tad touch of minerality on the finish with hints of calcium. Tiny bubbles but lively enough. Really dig this one. — 9 months ago
