The fruit vibrations are almost too strong when first opened- but what fruit! Crushed red, ripe cherries, like if Willy Wonka decided to go all in on cherries alone. Things settle down with air & some semblance of balance returns. Also some more typical Cab Franc notes of bay leaf emerge. Medium lemon colour . Lemon zest , slightly floral , toasty notes . On the palate lemon richness , with a toasty mineral , seashell note . Balanced acidity and long finish , still quite young and fresh . Would probably benefit from a bit more time in bottle , better in 5 years and then drink over the next 5.
