Beautiful, deep and brooding, complex without excess wood. Subtle red fruit with big acid and body. — 4 days ago
Lighter than I thought but I really enjoyed this. Better chilled! — 5 days ago
Monthly WTF wine group tasting. This month’s theme was chardonnay from any region or vintage. Nice eclectic bunch! All wines tasted blind.
@Delectable Wine : This is the Fourchaume bottling from this producer. I didn’t see it in the database.
Very classical. Tasting this side by side with the Mersault was fun not only because they were so different, but because of how they evolved. This one stayed true the entire time...very classical. Steely. Just a touch of reductive notes at first. Very pure and concentrated fruit. Lemon, chalky limestone, good acidity (but not razor like). This wine also showed a touch of pink sea salt and grapefruit, which had some people thrown off. I guessed Chablis. — 8 days ago

Intricate interplay of texture, weight, and fruit — 2 days ago
17.5. Savennieres doesn’t get much better. This has more acidity than the usual Baumard or Joly, but lots of fruit, v long. Could hold 5+ years. — 12 days ago
Alcohol a little out of balance, not uncommon. But great aromas. Very interesting. — 6 days ago
