This is the first mourvedre that I have absolutely loved. It is from Skinner Vineyards. : 2018 ElDorado Mourvedre. The nose opens this show with black licorice and lilac. Then comes the first taste - oh my goodness. Lots of dark fruit, boysenberry, blackberry, black cherry, and maybe even a little raspberry on the finish. Mid pallet brings in some nice velvet chocolate texture and flavors. Then there is the Oaky very dry pallet finish. I give this wine an amazing 9.6. I love this wine. I’m ordering more. I can’t wait to try their Syrah tomorrow as well as their petite sirah on Wednesday!!!!! — 5 months ago

This was a VERY COLD/WET vintage, ABV was stated as 14.3%, but I’d guess 1.5% or more lower, but this wine has held up beautifully, balance, very lovely fruit, NO heat, very fine Sierra Foothills Grenache for me, medium-long finish, lovely!! — 8 months ago
