If you like this type of red this will be in your wheelhouse. — 5 years ago
Tasted alongside the 2015 vintage. Both wines were opened about eight hours in advanced and allowed to slow-ox at cellar temp (51°F). Comparatively, this was more open for business. Dark cherry, gym sock, dried herbs, leather, and tomato leaf on the nose. On the palate, dusty cherry fruit with black tea and dried herbs. Rustic. Quite an old school charmer! Towards the end of the bottle, this started to tighten back up a bit but it was still my favorite of the two vintages tonight. I expect this to enjoy a long life. — 5 years ago
An amazing value. Spiced fruit, clove, honey, vanilla, amazing oak notes - just an outstanding bourbon. It’s light enough that it would make an outstanding summer whisky, but drinking it neat with no water is serving me just right on this cold November night. — 7 years ago

This was 1 of 41 wines we tasted blind to pick the next Members Premium Red at the Downs Club. Brief notes. A youthful Ruby with a purple tinge. Black ripe fruits and dark chocolate from the brilliant 2018 vintage. Charred oak. A typical Peter Lehmann Shiraz and most enjoyable. — 4 years ago
Very good, slightly tart, dry and juicy, one of my favs! — 4 years ago
Black currant, tar, pencil lead, cedar... A very fragrant a'f concentrated nose. The palate is well balanced with a strong acid backbone, a nice fruit with a pleasant tanguiness, a nice silky, sweet touch on the sides, rolling tannins with a grain and a long finish with a touch of wood, a pinch of salt, a touch of bitterness and black fruits. This is very good — 6 years ago
A nice nose full of primary, binary and tertiary scents : black currant, vanilla, toast, blond tobacco, ceddar, leather, a hint of mint, some meat juice and some earthiness, wet soil too. Wow! The palate is delicious : it starts with a radiant black currant, then it goes large with a silky touch on the sides, some meat juice, some gentle tannins wich have perfectly incorporated and a long silky finish with that nice weight and touch which lasts for a very long while. It certainly has a lot of matter and distinction for a vintage which is considered a rather poor one. For less than 20 EUR (retail price) this is quite a bargain! — 7 years ago

Even as an eight year old, this classic CDP is still very dark (almost black) in color. Beautiful aromas of red and black berries and currants, and lavender. Hints of earthy herbs and spices. The pallet is full of black berry/raspberry fruit, black licorice, grilled mushroom and cooked meat. Touch of black pepper spice on the finish. Tannins are there but they are extremely soft. Rich and elegant. Another fabulous vintage of this consistent classic. Thank you so much, Kasey and Petey! — 4 years ago
Once again I indulge in this pretty sin... Cherry, almond, Raisin, pencil lead, maybe chocolate too? The palate is tremendous : it goes in every direction with a huge acid backbone, a superlative width, a dense and silky matter with a soft touch on the sides, a bright fruit which shows off all along, a bit of drying tannins that kick off a fantastic finish with fruit, a bit of bitterness, some raisins and a indisputable length. Man I love this one. This is bohemian rhapsody by Queen — 6 years ago
Certainly different than The Pontiff. This was lighter and more classically Rosé whereas in a blinder glass I’m not sure I would identify The Pontiff as a Rosé at all. For my taste, this was enjoyable, but not mind-blowing (which is usually the case for me with wines from SQN). — 7 years ago

— 7 years ago
Revisiting. It actually did well with a smidge of age. Less saline more really ripe kumquat. I want this wine to be my best friend. Like we are both gonna change and mature but will always provide quality us-time to each other. Dang I’m worried Eight Cellars isn’t making wine anymore? Because I was able to buy 2014 Sauvignon Blanc in 2018... — 8 years ago

Dujac fans know how great their ‘06’s are, Jeremy Seysses’ first vintage in full control. Aux Combottes, surrounded by Grand Cru’s on all four sides, is terrific in 2006, now fully open and giving wafting an unmistakable Dujac perfume with elegant spice laced red berry fruit, cocoa and Gevrey earth. It’s liquid velvet on the palate, notably impressive for the vintage, with superb balance of fruit character, minerality and fine grained tannic structure. Terrific showing! — 6 months ago
